Joint endeavor vital in ensuring traffic safety: Association

The Association of Traffic Safety indicated that joint endeavor is a significant prerequisite as regards ensuring traffic safety. It made the remark at a meeting conducted with concerned bodies in the Central region.

Asmara, 15 March 2013 – The Association of Traffic Safety indicated that joint endeavor is a significant prerequisite as regards ensuring traffic safety. It made the remark at a meeting conducted with concerned bodies in the Central region.

Mr. Girmai Abrehe, Chairman of the Association, indicated that active collaboration of government bodies, companies, Associations and activists is vital towards realization of the cherished goal. He further pointed out that the process should involve community-based approach.

Maj. Nir’ayo Tekle from the headquarters of the Police Force disclosed that the majority of the instances of traffic accidents are related to irresponsible driving and less compliance with traffic law, and called on nationals to raise their awareness in this regard.
