Student Week conducted in Ginda sub-zone

Student Week has been conducted in Ginda town at sub-zonal level. Speaking during the event, Ms. Amna Haj Osman, the sub-zonal Administrator, called on communities to extend a helping hand in endeavors towards nurturing outstanding students as regards arts, culture, sports and conduct. Ginda, 16 March 2013 – Student Week has been conducted in Ginda town at sub-zonal level. Speaking during the event, Ms. Amna Haj Osman, the sub-zonal Administrator, called on communities to extend a helping hand in endeavors towards nurturing outstanding students as regards arts, culture, sports and conduct.

Likewise, Mr. Osman Nur from the Education Ministry’s branch in the sub-zone pointed out that activities conducted during such event are part of the teaching-learning process, the impact of which has become significant in nurturing dynamic students. Mr. Idris Mohammed Ali, head of the NUEYS branch in the sub-zone, said on his part that community-based ventures are vital approaches in nurturing responsible youth generation.

In concluding remarks, Mr. Saleh Ahmed, head of the branch office, indicated that the event is a good opportunity for students to develop awareness regarding their potential and tendency, besides the groundwork it provides for exchange of experience and bequeathing cultural values. He further called on the citizenry to enhance participation in national endeavors of nurturing educated youths.

Cultural and sports activities, as well as an exhibition were staged during the Student Week, in addition to display of creative works.
