President takes part in carnival shows by residents of Afabet semi-urban center

President Isaias Afwerki has taken part in carnival shows staged today in connection with the commemoration of the demise of Nadew Command by the residents of Afabet semi-urban center. Afabet, 17 March 2013 – President Isaias Afwerki has taken part in carnival shows staged today in connection with the commemoration of the demise of Nadew Command by the residents of Afabet semi-urban center.

The mobile carnival that moved from the market in the semi-urban center to Shabai Hall was accompanied by a parade by the National Marching Band. Moreover, it depicted the role of camel in the armed struggle and socio-cultural setting of the locality vis-à-vis cultural dances.

Around 1,000 people from all Administrative areas of the locality participated in the community carnival, reports said.
