Inhabitants of Central region to back up national development drive

In respective meetings they conducted with regional Assembly members recently, the inhabitants of the Central region said that they would back up the national development drive. Asmara, 20 March 2013 – In respective meetings they conducted with regional Assembly members recently, the inhabitants of the Central region said that they would back up the national development drive. They further pointed out that joint endeavors are being exerted on the part of the government and the people as regards addressing current challenges, and that the accomplishments being registered in the domains of food security, human resource development, health and others attest to such effort.

Furthermore, the participants of the meeting called on the Assembly to enhance control mechanism regarding distribution of potable water supply and agricultural machinery management, besides reinforcing its human relations function.

The Assembly members heard complaints and views from the inhabitants, and indicated out that they are to be discussed at the 12th regular meeting of the congress, in addition to assuring that the regional Administration would strive to draw resolution to this end.
