Prison inmates express appreciation for the opportunity afforded them to participate in Secondary School Leaving Exam
Inmates from the Central Prison in Sembel and Tsetserat expressed appreciation for the opportunity provided them to participate in the 2012/2013 Eritrean Secondary School Leaving Examination.
Asmara, 20 March 2013- Inmates from the Central Prison in Sembel and Tsetserat expressed appreciation for the opportunity provided them to participate in the 2012/2013 Eritrean Secondary School Leaving Examination.
Mr. Berhe Ogbazgi, Director of the school at Sembel Central Prison, indicated that the students are participating in the School Leaving Exam in six subjects and that the students besides following their education in classes, had formed peer education programs that could help them prepare for the School Leaving Exam. He also voiced his expectation that the students would score high grade that could enable them join the Law School.
Reports indicate that 19,279 students, out of whom 7,430 are female from inside the country and abroad, are participating in this year’s School Leaving Exam.
