Northern Red Sea region: 35 students of adult education program participate in 2013 matriculation exam
Reports indicate that 35 students of adult education program participated in the 2013 matriculation exam.
Massawa 23 March 2013- Reports indicate that 35 students of adult education program participated in the 2013 matriculation exam.
The participants have been attending evening classes up to the secondary level, during which they exerted a lot effort in the learning process.
The participants explained that if there is will there are no social activities which would stop you from getting education. They added that they have worked hard to get where they are today.
Ms. Saidia Osman, Ms. Fatna Abdelkerim and Ms. Saidia Fikak respectively pointed out that the adult participants of the exam said that they were compelled to stop education at the elementary level due to marriage and other social constraints. They further stated that since they had to assume the responsibility of catering to their family members, it was logical to look for support from other nationals.
They also added that they are eager to join higher institutions of learning if they score the desired result in the exams.
The head of the Educations Ministry’s branch office in the region, Mr. Reshid Mohammed Osman, said that the participation of students from adult education program is the first of its kind in the Norther Red Sea region.
Reports indicated that the regional Administration Northern Red-Sea region has made available over 166 facilities for about 10,000 participants of the adult education program.
It is known that over 1,500 students are pursuing adult education at 14 different sites, according to reports.
