Inhabitants of Elabereid undertake popular campaign

The inhabitants of Elabered Sub –zone are carrying out popular development campaign. Asmara, 30 March 2013: The inhabitants of Elabered Sub –zone are carrying out popular development campaign. Nationals living in the villages of Hassen, Bisuq, Gulu, Sharkin and Halib- Mentel respectively demonstrated active participation in the campaign which concentrated on development of underground water resources, according to reports.

Meanwhile,  about 4 Km. of terracing and land leveling activities have been carried out in areas affected by soil erosion in the sub-zone.

Among the participants, Ms. Meka Ekub and Mr. Andu Tesfahannes indicated that the inhabitants at the area are keen to take active participation in endeavors to promote sound ecology.
