25 students in Southern Red Sea region receive ‘Fi’ema’ award

25 students in the Southern Red Sea region who scored outstanding results in this year’s 8th grade national examination received ‘Fi’ema’ award. Assab, 1 April 2013- 25 students in the Southern Red Sea region who scored outstanding results in this year’s 8th grade national examination received ‘Fi’ema’ award.

During the ceremony conducted in Assab city, Mr. Azazi Bereketeab, head of the NUEYS branch in the region, explained that the objective of ‘Fi’ema’ award is to motivate and encourage students to become competitive and excel in their school performance.

Mr. Abdalla Mohammed, Head of the Education Ministry’s branch there, on his part indicated that the ‘Fi’ema’ award is aimed at reinforcing the students’ academic performance and urged members of the general public to contribute their share in efforts to nurture competitive students.

Likewise, Mr. Ali Mahmoud, Administrator of the region, after handing over the award and financial incentive to the students, pointed out that the Government is making huge investment in education and called on students to seize the opportunity in developing their knowledge.

Since its commencement in 2008, a total of 167 students who scored outstanding results have received the ‘Fi’ema’ regional ward.
