Ginda, 06 April 2013 – The inhabitants of Ginda sub-zone said that endeavors being exerted towards preservation of wood enclosure and afforestation are registering positive outcome.
Mr. Osman Saleh, who has been engaged in guarding enclosures for 5 years, pointed out that community undertaking has played a remarkable role in promoting the locality’s environmental stability, and called for similar initiatives to be taken in the remaining areas.
Mr. Isa Ali, Administrator of 01-Administrative area of Ginda town, explained that the community initiative also involved soil and water conservation. He further indicated that around 29,000 tree seedlings planted in the previous rainy season have flourished, while indigenous trees and wild animals are in better condition.
Among the inhabitants, Mr. Mohammed Idris, Mr. Osman Ekub and Mr. Adem Ali on their part explained that such accomplishment is an outcome of integrated venture, and expressed the community’s readiness to sustain initiative in this regard.
