Hagaz sub-zone: Area administrators called upon to enhance role regarding tax collection

The Administration of Hagaz sub-zone called on Area administrators to enhance role and promote synergism regarding tax collection. Hagaz, 06 April 2013 – The Administration of Hagaz sub-zone called on Area administrators to enhance role and promote synergism regarding tax collection. It made the call at a meeting conducted with Area administrators, heads of Associations and line ministries, as well as police officers.

Representing the sub-zonal Administrator, Mr. Ateshim Negasi called on integrated endeavors as regards reviewing the data pertaining to land use and population size so as to ensure effective implementation of development programs. He further called on the local administrators to apply effective approach of data handling vis-à-vis sound strategies targeting higher revenue.

Furthermore, Mr. Ateshim pointed out that more efforts would be made to give added impetus to sports activities, and called for sustained popular soil and water conservation undertakings.

Meanwhile, Capt. Kidane Woldemichael, commander of the police forces in the sub-zone, said that around 200 cases could be settled peacefully through community police over the past 5 months, thus saving time and energy to this end.

The participants of the meeting expressed readiness to back up the national development drive, and put forth views as regards several issues.
