Goluj sub-zone: Government institutions and communities called upon to enhance integrated endeavors targeting ENWVA members

The inhabitants of Goluj sub-zone and line ministries in the locality have been called upon to enhance integrated endeavors as regards raising financial capability of war-disabled veterans. Goluj, 12 April 2013 – The inhabitants of Goluj sub-zone and line ministries in the locality have been called upon to enhance integrated endeavors as regards raising financial capability of war-disabled veterans. The call was made at a joint meeting in which PFDJ and line ministry representatives, as well as Area administrators took part.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Kesete Teklemariam, Acting administrator of the sub-zone, pointed out that the Administration has been exerting persistent efforts supplementing endeavors of the Eritrean National War-disabled Veterans Association (ENWVA). He further lauded the accomplishment being registered by the Association and its stakeholders in this regard.

Mr. Rezene Tesfamariam, head of the Association’s branch in Gash-Barka region, disclosed that it extended a total of 2.3 million Nakfa interest-free credit to members last year with a view to improving their livelihood. Moreover, he explained that the scheme has already made positive impact, and indicated that free medical service is being rendered to Association members with serious problems.

The Association members said that they would strive to raise their income on the basis of the support being extended to them by the government and the people.
