Student Week conducted in Gelalo sub-zone

Student Week was conducted in Gelalo sub-zone from 5 to 7 this month. More than 400 students took part in the event in which sports and general knowledge contests were staged, in addition to other programs depicting national development activities vis-à-vis the role of youths to this end. Gelalo, 12 April 2013 – Student Week was conducted in Gelalo sub-zone from 5 to 7 this month. More than 400 students took part in the event in which sports and general knowledge contests were staged, in addition to other programs depicting national development activities vis-à-vis the role of youths to this end.

In closing remarks, Mr. Hamd Mohammed-Ali, Administrator of the sub-zone, said that more participants and activities were witnessed during the event, and called on the inhabitants in general and parents in particular to enhance participation in this regard.

Mr. Awed Ali Hassan, head of sports affairs in the Education Ministry’s branch in the locality, expressed appreciation for all who made outstanding contribution in organizing the event, and called on the inhabitants and schools to further their role in organizing the event that follows.

Students who demonstrated outstanding performance in the contests received awards from the sub-zonal Administrator during the concluding event.
