The Administrator of Anseba region, Mr. Gergis Girmai, said that the government would extend support to the inhabitants of Kerkebet sub-zone targeting effective harnessing of resources in the locality and called on them to enhance participation in this regard. Kerkebet, 16 April 2013 – The Administrator of Anseba region, Mr. Gergis Girmai, said that the government would extend support to the inhabitants of Kerkebet sub-zone targeting effective harnessing of resources in the locality and called on them to enhance participation in this regard.
The regional Administrator made the remark at a meeting, during which he pointed out that stepped-up endeavors are being exerted to enable the local inhabitants become primary beneficiaries of national resources vis-à-vis the necessary social services. He further lauded the initiative taken by a number of nationals who engage in agricultural activities, and expressed the Administration’s readiness to collaborate with them.
Likewise, Mr. Humed Ela Ali Idris, the sub-zonal Administrator, indicated that development activities in the area have made visible input as regards improvement of people’s livelihood and promoting community-based style of living.
Furthermore, commendable impact has been made pertaining to education in the remote areas of Agmait, Hawan, Akaydiet and Harareb, he added.
Mr. Hagos Adhana, head of basic education at the Education Ministry’s branch in Anseba region, on his part called on pertinent bodies to enhance collaboration in endeavors towards registering adequate educational impact in such remote areas.
