Potable water supply facility in Adi-Shelemun and Adi-Yaqne Administrative areas renovated

Reports indicated that the potable water supply facility in both Adi-Shelemun and Adi-Yaqne Administrative areas, Emni-Haili sub-zone, has been renovated. Dirko, 16 April 2013 – Reports indicated that the potable water supply facility in both Adi-Shelemun and Adi-Yaqne Administrative areas, Emni-Haili sub-zone, has been renovated.

Mr. Birhane Tekeste, Administrator of Adi-Yaqne Administrative area, explained that accessing potable water has been a demanding task following the malfunctioning of the facility, the overhaul of which has given rise to a relief on the part of the local inhabitants.

Among the inhabitants, Ms. Tabotu Sibhatu, Rev. Niguse Tewolde and Ms. Tsige Gebremedhin expressed satisfaction with the renovation of the facility.

Mr. Ahmed Mohammed, the sub-zonal Administrator, called on the inhabitants to practice its judicious utilization, and pointed out that the renovation of a similar facility close to Maedia Dam is underway.

The potable water supply facility supplying Adi-Shelemun and Adi-Yaqne Administrative areas comprises reservoirs of a total capacity of 60 cubic meters and 12 distribution stations.
