Youth and Students Week conducted in Hagaz sub-zone

Reports indicated that Youth and Students Week has been conducted in Hagaz sub-zone with a view to fostering academic and cultural activities and laying the groundwork for youths to identify their inclination. Hagaz, 17 April 2013 – Reports indicated that Youth and Students Week has been conducted in Hagaz sub-zone with a view to fostering academic and cultural activities and laying the groundwork for youths to identify their inclination.

Sports activities, debating and general knowledge contests, as well as other activities were staged during the 3-day event, in which active participation of all schools was witnessed.

Mr. Saleh Ibrahim, head of the Education Ministry’s branch in the sub-zone, pointed out that stepped-up endeavors are being exerted as regards furthering educational excellence, and thereby nurturing dynamic students. He also said that the event is a good opportunity for ensuring exchange of experience among students, besides its positive impact on their academic pursuit.

Likewise, Mr. Hagos Adhana, head of the Ministry’s branch in Anseba region, called on parents, teachers and national associations to enhance their role to this end. Ms. Nejat Al-Amin from the regional branch office on her part noted the vitality of extracurricular activities depicted in the event, and said that students should enhance their participation in this regard.

The participants of the event lauded government endeavors towards promoting social services both in geographic scope and quality, and called for integrated efforts in organizing such event.
