Youths in Adeqe-Tekula village, Debarwa sub-zone, have called on fellow nationals to enhance their role as regards backing families of martyrs and environmental conservation.
Debarwa, 20 April 2013 – Youths in Adeqe-Tekula village, Debarwa sub-zone, have called on fellow nationals to enhance their role as regards backing families of martyrs and environmental conservation. They made the call in connection with the campaigns they conducted with a view to restoring erosion-hit areas and renovating houses of families of fallen heroes, which task is expected to continue.
Among the participants, Robel Kidane and Haile Mehari pointed out that around 160 youths took part in the undertakings, and voiced satisfaction with taking part in the voluntarily organized venture. They also said that they would sustain the scheme so as to collaborate with such families during the forthcoming rain-fed farming.
Mr. Laine Gebresilasie, Administrator of the village, expressed appreciation for the initiative taken by the youths vis-à-vis the accomplishments registered in this regard. In the same vein, Mr. Ogbamichael Habtemichael and Mr. Sium Gebrenigus, inhabitants of the village, commended the youths for their charitable gesture, and called on the community to emulate their motive.
Among the beneficiaries, Ms. Ellen Sibhatu expressed satisfaction with the renovation of her house.
