The inhabitants of Gul’ie, Gala-Nefhi sub-zone, during a meeting they conducted with Mr. Kahsai Gebrehiwot, Administrator of Central region, and Maj. Gen. Filipos Woldeyohanes, as well as with agricultural experts and engineers, expressed satisfaction for the efforts being under taken to maintain the dam in their areas that has been damaged by flooding.
Gul’ie, 21 April 2013- The inhabitants of Gul’ie, Gala-Nefhi sub-zone, during a meeting they conducted with Mr. Kahsai Gebrehiwot, Administrator of Central region, and Maj. Gen. Filipos Woldeyohanes, as well as with agricultural experts and engineers, expressed satisfaction for the efforts being under taken to maintain the dam in their areas that has been damaged by flooding.
They also expressed resolve to contribute their part in what ever necessary in the maintenance process of the dam that is very important for their livelihood.
Eng. Gebrezgiabihier Yemane, expert in water and soil conservation, explained that 20 hectares of land could be cultivated with the dam that has been built in 2011, and that its maintenance is significant for the livelihood of the inhabitants.
