Inhabitants of Homib Administrative area become beneficiaries of social service facilities on the basis of community living style

The inhabitants of Homib Administrative area, Forto-Sawa sub-zone, said that they have become beneficiaries of social service facilities on the basis of community-based style of living.

Forto-Sawa, 30 April 2013 – The inhabitants of Homib Administrative area, Forto-Sawa sub-zone, said that they have become beneficiaries of social service facilities on the basis of community-based style of living.

Among the inhabitants, Mr. Ali Hassan, Mr. Aderob Ali Isa and Mr. Derir Bereket indicated that they used to live in a scattered pattern, and that such mode of living had caused visible quandary as regards utilization of social service facilities, in addition to its drawback of energy loss. They further pointed out that various facilities have been put in place in the locality, and that the practice of irrigation farming is on the rise.

Mr. Wohaj Osman, Administrator of Homib Administrative area, disclosed that the nomadic inhabitants used to live in 12 scattered hamlets, thus giving rise to predicaments in accessing social service facilities. “The impact of such facilities has been enhanced following their resort to community style of living, and we urge the rest of the inhabitants to take similar initiative,” he added.

Reports indicate that the inhabitants of the Administrative area have become beneficiaries of educational, health, potable water supply and communication facilities.
