Training provided in Massawa for managers and workers of service provision institutions

As part of the efforts to develop the tourism sector and to provide timely and efficient services to visitors, training was provided in Massawa for about 250 managers and workers of service provision institutions.

Massawa, 1 May 2013- As part of the efforts to develop the tourism sector and to provide timely and efficient services to visitors, training was provided in Massawa for about 250 managers and workers of service provision institutions.

The training included Hotel administration, handling customers, catering as well as food and liquors inspection, according Mr. Tekle Frezgi, head of human resources in the Tourism Ministry.

During the graduation ceremony, Mr. Naizgi Woldu, head of the Tourism Ministry’s branch in the Northern Red Sea region, indicated that the number of visitors to Massawa city is growing by the year and called on the participants to apply the training they received on the ground and thus satisfy the demands of visitors.

From the trainees, Mr. Tesfamariam Girmatsion and Mr. Tewodros Girmai said that the training they received would help them improve their respective establishment and services and expressed appreciation for the opportunity they were provided by the Ministry.
