A Second conference has been held in the Southern region addressing the need for integrated venture on the part of government bodies and the PFDJ as regards youth issues.
Mendefera, 3 May 2013 –A Second conference has been held in the Southern region addressing the need for integrated venture on the part of government bodies and the PFDJ as regards youth issues.
Mr. Ibrahim Hassan, head of the NUEYS branch in the region, presented a report regarding the branch’s accomplishments over the past 2 years, and said that trainings organized with a view to enhancing youth awareness and raising their production capacity have made positive impact. Moreover, briefings were given by the Education Ministry’s and Police Administration’s branch offices targeting ways and means of promoting youth role pertaining to law and education.
In closing remarks, Mr. Sultan Seid, Chairman of the NUEYS, indicated that the Union is working on priority basis to nurture responsible and dynamic youths.
The Administrator of the Southern region, Mr. Efrem Gebrekristos, called on youths to step up participation in national development programs, and disclosed that the government has been exerting increased endeavors as regards nurturing higher knowledge and skills among the youth vis-à-vis the living spirit of nationalism.
