A promotional campaign has been conducted in Adi-Tekelezan sub-zone with a view to raising student awareness as regards causes of accident.
Adi-Tekelezan, 7 May 2013 – A promotional campaign has been conducted in Adi-Tekelezan sub-zone with a view to raising student awareness as regards causes of accident.
Indicating that participation of parents, students and members of the Police Force was remarkable in the venture, Dr. Kesetebirhan Solomon, head of the Health Ministry’s branch in Anseba region, disclosed that the Education and Health Ministries have been exerting joint endeavors in this regard. He further pointed out that schools constitute a springboard to nurturing a civilized society, and called on the citizenry to extend a helping hand to this end.
Moreover, Lt. Habtom Mengisteab, commander of police forces in the sub-zone, gave extensive briefings regarding traffic law and explosive accidents, and called on the inhabitants to adhere to cautious mechanisms in this connection.
In the same vein, Mr. Michael Tekle, head of the Education Ministry’s branch in the sub-zone, noted the merits of cooperation in the process, and expressed the branch office’s readiness to collaborate with the Health Ministry and the Police.
Students who demonstrated outstanding performance in sports contests conducted as part of the event for 5 months were awarded, in addition to those who made significant contribution in organizing it.
