Ginda, 8 May 2013 – Farmers Association in Sheib-Mensheb has organized a seminar for members with a view to raising agricultural output.
Indicating that the seminar dealt with the merits of working as an association, Mr. Michael Tekie from the Agriculture Ministry’s branch in the Northern Red Sea region explained that it is helpful for farmers as regards exchange of experience and laying the groundwork for mutual benefit between members and the Association. He further called on Association members to enhance their awareness, thus overcoming their challenges and fulfilling the Association’s objectives.
The participants expressed satisfaction with the seminar, and put forth views pertaining to several issues.
The Association of Farmers in Sheib-Mensheb, which owns a total of 700 hectares, groups 3,400 farmers, 1,700 of whom are females.
