Adi-Tekelezan, 9 May 2013 – The Administration of Adi-Tekelezan sub-zone indicated that endeavors exerted as regards ensuring equitability of social services have witnessed commendable outcome. It further disclosed that a gratifying accomplishment has been registered pertaining to the putting in place of transport, potable water supply, health, education, communication, electricity and other supply facilities.
Mr. Ande Adhanom, sub-zonal Administrator, pointed out that dirt roads constructed from Asmara-Keren route to different localities have eased transportation challenges, and that a total of 20 schools ranging from kindergarten to High School level are rendering commendable service. He further stated that the inhabitants of Adi-Tekelezan semi-urban center, as well as Deki-Gebru,Dekemhare, Golagul and Deki-Zer’u villages have become beneficiaries of electricity supply, while the electrification process continues to Wara village and telephone service gets creditable coverage.
Mr. Samuel Asmelash, head of the health center in Adi-Tekelezan, said that stepped-up efforts are being exerted to enhance health outreach in the locality.
Funture undertakings of the Administration would include promotion of community-based living, reinforcement of popular undertakings, drafting master plans for villages and facilitating distribution of tiesa land.
