Asmara, 11 May 2013- Students Independence Week in the Central region that commenced on 7th May under the theme “Eritrea- Shield of Resilience and Nobility of Work” is enthusiastically underway.
Reports indicate that the Students Independence Week is being conducted featuring the spirit and meaning of Independence, the price it would involve to preserve it, role of students in nation building as well as other relevant issues.
Ms. Yihdega Woldegiorgis, Directoe of Adekolom School, and Mr. Mulugeta Beyene, Director of Shimanigus Lailai School, explained that the Students Independence Week is positively influencing students and that it is putting in place basic foundation on which they would bequeath knowledge and history for their future prospect.
Students Yohana Tesfagabir and Hintsa Wolday on their part pointed out that the Students Independence Day Week is an opportunity in which they would fully comprehend their history and assume responsibility. They also called for organizing more seminars and educational activities.
The Students Independence Day week will continue until the 19th of May.
