Student Week providing favorable environment for nurturing national values among young generation: Report
Reports indicated that the current Student Week, which is being conducted in the Central region in connection with the 22nd Independence Day anniversary, is providing favorable environment for nurturing national values among the young generation.
Asmara, 12 May 2013 – Reports indicated that the current Student Week, which is being conducted in the Central region in connection with the 22nd Independence Day anniversary, is providing favorable environment for nurturing national values among the young generation.
Ms. Amete Niguse, Administrator of Gejeret Administrative area, said that such event is also vital in depicting the achievements registered in the domain of education, and commended the role of parents, schools and Area administrations in organizing the event.
Ms. Zaid Mesfin from the Education Ministry’s branch in the Central region indicated that the event’s activities have portrayed the perseverance of the citizenry in various manners, beside their impact in popularizing the Eritrean history.
Various cultural and artistic shows were staged during the event, while teachers and students who played major role in organizing it were awarded.
Moreover, Mr. Samson Tiqabo, director of St. Mary Secondary School, called on students to participate in the event with national zeal.
The 22nd Independence Day anniversary is being observed under the theme “ERITREA – Shield of Resilience and Nobility of Work.”
