Social service facilities have become springboard to further development, Say Mai-Deguali inhabitants

The inhabitants of Mai-Deguali village, Molqi sub-zone, said that the social service facilities put in place in the area over the past 22 years have become a springboard to further development.

Molqi, 14 May 2013 – The inhabitants of Mai-Deguali village, Molqi sub-zone, said that the social service facilities put in place in the area over the past 22 years have become a springboard to further development.

Among the inhabitants, Mr. Aron Goitom, Ms. Letetsion Arefaine, Ms. Tsega Andom and Mr. Gebrezgi Tesfamariam indicated that they have become beneficiaries of health, education, potable water supply and transport services, and that their livelihood has improved significantly.

Mr. Habom Mekonen, Administrator of Ade-Guali’e area, equally pointed out that such facilities have made notable impact as regards improving the community’s livelihood, and called on the inhabitants to enhance their effective utilization.

Mr. Kibreab Berhe, head of economic development in the sub-zone, disclosed that such impact attests to the sound policy of the government regarding rural development. Moreover, he stated that child and mother mortality is subsequently declining.
