Institutions in the Central region which would take part on Independence Day observances have reportedly made ample preparations for carnival shows, due to be staged on the 21st and 22nd this month along the streets of Asmara.

Asmara, 15 May 2013 – Institutions in the Central region which would take part on Independence Day observances have reportedly made ample preparations for carnival shows, due to be staged on the 21st and 22nd this month along the streets of Asmara.

Mr. Abel Ainalem and Mr. Petros Berhe from Segen Construction Company and Asmara Flowers respectively noted the vitality of such shows in depicting the nation’s progress over the past 2 decades, and thereby promoting the right image of the country.

Likewise, Mr. Zerabrukh, Artist, and Mr. Yasin Mohammed, owner of Semhar Tannery, said that an event of this type is good opportunity for the promotion of products, besides the fact that it adds color to the celebrations.

Ms. Tekh’a Tesfamichael, chairman of the holidays’ coordinating committee in the Central region, indicated that carnival shows are being staged in connection with Independence Day for the 10th time, and that the artistic dimension it entails and the participation of workers is an integral part of its appealing nature.

Accordingly, a total of 42 institutions and 13 Administrative areas are expected to take part in the carnival show in the region, and a rating committee has already inspected the pace of preparation for the event.
