More nationals arrive here for Independence Day observance

A number of nationals have arrived in Asmara for the 22nd Independence Day anniversary which is being observed under the theme “Eritrea – Shield of Resilience and Nobility of Work.”

Asmara, 16 May 2013 – A number of nationals have arrived in Asmara for the 22nd Independence Day anniversary which is being observed under the theme “Eritrea – Shield of Resilience and Nobility of Work.”

According to the Immigration Office, hundreds of nationals arrived in the capital over the past 3 days through various air ways from Europe, the US, Canada, the Middle East, as well as a number of African and other countries.

The nationals said that they highly value celebrating the momentous Day in the Homeland as a unique experience of sharing the joy of the event.

Among the citizens, Ms. Sara Berhane from Germany, as well as US-residents Ms. Muna Omar, Mr. Hailu Keleta and Ms. Kudusan Tewolde, expressed satisfaction with their experience of homecoming in coincidence with the great event. They further voiced appreciation for the vivacious spirit among nationals in the Homeland, and pointed out that their voyage attests to the prevailing strong bond between nationals residing abroad and in the Homeland.
