The ongoing Independence Day celebrations in general and the unique atmosphere in Independence Avenue in particular attests the peace prevailing peace in Eritrea and harmony of the people, nationals and foreigners who are participating in the celebrations expressed.

Asmara, 19 May 2013- The ongoing Independence Day celebrations in general and the unique atmosphere in Independence Avenue in particular attests the peace prevailing peace in Eritrea and harmony of the people, nationals and foreigners who are participating in the celebrations expressed.

Dr. Rizwan Hamid, Indian national, and Mr. Wolid Idris, from Sudan, pointed out that the peace prevailing in Eritrea is a blessing which nationals and foreigners are equally enjoying, and that they feel lucky to celebrate the Day with the Eritrean people.

Children Dibora Andemeskel and Liwam Gebremeskel expressed satisfaction for they are enjoying the events taking place in the streets of Asmara and that nurtured with the good value of their parents they would work hard to reach the highest level and participate in the national development programs.

Ms. Bizen Gebrekrstos, Ms. Niema Jehar, and Youth Hermon Goitom on their part stated that the Independence Day programs are of particular interest to children and that they would be able to learn their history while enjoying.

Mr. Tekle Tesfamicael, who came from Germany and is staging children’s program in front of the Cathedral, explained that he is staging a program aimed at transferring history to children while entertaining and that he is proud to see many people observe what he has in hand with interest.
