International Day of Museum observed

International Day of Museum was observed in the capital Asmara.

Asmara, 19 May 2013 – International Day of Museum was observed in the capital Asmara.

Mr. Worede Ande, head of Administration and Finance of the National Museum, expressed that the National Museum is striving towards conserving cultural and historical heritages, documenting, identifying and conducting research, and that this years International Museum Day is being observed in which knowledgeable people on the subject are participating.

Mr. Kibrom Okbazgi on his part explained the significance of conserving and studying cultural and historical heritages and transfer for posterity, and that items that are displayed in the museum are copies of the authentic ones.

International Museum Day is being observed for 35 times internationally and 18 times nation wide.
