Athlete Zerisenai holds new record in half marathon tournament in Japan

Eritrean Olympian Athlete Zerisenai Tadesse yesterday held new record in a half-marathon tournament in Japan.

Asmara, 20 May 2013 – Eritrean Olympian Athlete Zerisenai Tadesse yesterday held new record in a half-marathon tournament in Japan.

In the racing in which renowned athletes from East Africa took part, Zerisenai managed to complete it within 1 hour and 31 seconds seizing the first rank preceding Martin Matati of Kenya, previous holder of the time record, and Kenyan Jackob Wanjuki respectively.

Reports indicated that the tournament involved remarkable challenge, and that Zerisenai witnessed impressive spirit of persistence.
