Eritrean community members in Toronto celebrate 22nd Independence Day anniversary with patriotic zeal

Eritrean community members in Toronto and its environs celebrated the 22nd Independence Day anniversary on 19 May with patriotic zeal, reports indicated.

Asmara, 21 May 2013- Eritrean community members in Toronto and its environs celebrated the 22nd Independence Day anniversary on 19 May with patriotic zeal, reports indicated.

During the celebrations in which a number of citizens, friends of Eritrea and invited guests participated, Mr. Semere Gebremariam, Eritrean Consul to Canada, said that the event is a time the nationals enhance  commitment to the nation-building process, and called on nationals to become beneficiaries of the new investment opportunity in the Homeland.

Cultural and sports performances as well as children’s shows added color to the celebrations, according to reports.
