Central region: Institutions and Area Administrations conduct carnival show

A total of 21 institutions and 6 Administrative areas in the Central region yesterday carried out carnival show involving a parade accompanied by marching band from Bar-Zilli area to Bahti-Meskerem square.

Asmara, 22 May 2013 – A total of 21 institutions and 6 Administrative areas in the Central region yesterday carried out carnival show involving a parade accompanied by marching band from Bar-Zilli area to Bahti-Meskerem square.

The opening ceremony was conducted in the presence of Mr. Woldemichael Gebremariam, Minister of Local Government, and thousands of nationals expressed appreciation for the manner the event could depict the nation’s development pace vis-à-vis the futility of anti-Eritrea agendas.

Mr. Robel Ainealem from Segen Construction Company pointed out that the display by the company portrayed the major development accomplishments registered in the country, and that the right image of the nation was reflected through the event.

Among viewers, Ms. Askalu Tewolde, from the US, and Ms. Nigisti Gebremeskel, Mr. Osman Mohammed and Mr. Mohammed-Seid Bi’emnet said that the creativity-involving fairground is good opportunity for adequately revealing the prevailing harmony between the people and the Government of Eritrea. Moreover they indicated that such occasion is also groundwork for nurturing national values to the young generation.

Likewise, Ms. Alganesh Firai and Mr. Abraham Asgedom voiced satisfaction with the colorful celebration of the 22nd Independence Day anniversary.
The second part of the carnival show is reportedly expected to continue today in the evening hours.
