Independence Day anniversary marked in Northern Red Sea region

The 22nd Independence Day anniversary was marked in different parts of the Northern Red Sea region.

Massawa, 24 May 2013 – The 22nd Independence Day anniversary was marked in different parts of the Northern Red Sea region.

During the celebrations in the port city of Massawa which was conducted yesterday in the presence of government and PFDJ officials, as well as thousands of city residents and invited guests, the regional Administrator, Ms. Tsigereda Wodegiorgis, noted that the Eritrean people and their leadership are engaged in relentless development endeavors. Moreover, she indicated that gratifying has been registered as regards bridging the gap between rural and urban areas, besides the improvement of the livelihood of citizens across the country.

Cultural performances and military parade added color to the celebration.
