Barentu, 27 May 2013 – The residents of Barentu said that community banquets in connection with Independence Day observance provided vital environment for reflecting the prevailing national pride and societal harmony.
Among the city residents, Mr. Nega Tareqe, Ms. Arguma Saleh, Mr. Abubeker Ibrahim, Ms. Genet Teklemichael, Mr. Gebrebirhan Yihdego and Ms. Diwara Hassan expressed satisfaction with celebrating the momentous Day at community levels. They further indicated that a festivity of this type attests to the extent to which nationals cherish independence.
Ms. Sureka Chitamber, an Indian national who lives in the city for 10 years, expressed appreciation for the manner the residents celebrate the great event.
