Residents of Areza express satisfaction with social service

The residents of Areza semi-urban center have expressed satisfaction with social service facilities put in place in the area over the past 22 years.

Areza, 30 May 2013 – The residents of Areza semi-urban center have expressed satisfaction with social service facilities put in place in the area over the past 22 years. They further indicated that they have become beneficiaries of health, education, potable water supply and other facilities in line with the endeavors exerted by the government with a view to bridging the gap between rural and urban areas.

Among the residents, Mr. Tekle Gebremichael, Mr. Yemane Tewolde and Ms. Selam Tesfai pointed out that the implementation of various development programs in the locality has given impetus to socio-economic activities, and thus growing number of businesses and further development of the semi-urban center. Moreover, they said that popular participation has become vital in the development ventures in the area.

Ms. Miliete Tsegai, Administrator of the semi-urban center, disclosed that the number of businesses there stands at more than 130, and that business activities are flourishing.
