Eritrean community members in Washington DC express readiness to back up national development endeavors
Eritrean community members in Washington DC lauded the development accomplishments being registered in the Homeland and expressed readiness to enhance participation to this end.
Asmara, 1 June 2013 – Eritrean community members in Washington DC lauded the development accomplishments being registered in the Homeland and expressed readiness to enhance participation to this end. They made the pledge during an event they organized to celebrate the 22nd Independence Day anniversary through the staging of different activities.
Speaking on the occasion, Foreign Minister Osman Saleh and the Head of Political Affairs at the PFDJ, Mr. Yemane Gebreab, gave in-depth briefings focusing on economic and socio-political issues including community organization, culture, academy, media and the psychological way thereof, as well as the challenges and prospects of nation-building process, among others.
The community members on their part asserted that they would collaborate in the process of fostering the nation’s investment sector.
A number of activities were staged during the event highlighting Eritrean cultural values, and student members of the community who demonstrated excellence in their academic pursuits received awards, beside those who won in sports and other contests on the occasion.
Meanwhile, in a similar event they staged, the Eritrean community members in Libya reiterated readiness to step up participation in State affairs.
