National General Examination conducted

The National General Examination was conducted yesterday and today nationwide and in the Eritrean community schools in Riyadh and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Asmara, 6 June 2013 – The National General Examination was conducted yesterday and today nationwide and in the Eritrean community schools in Riyadh and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Mr. Kifle Mekonen, head of national examinations at the Ministry of Education, disclosed that more than 60,000 candidates comprising day and evening students, as well as EDF members sat for the examination in 332 testing centers, including those in Saudi Arabia. He went on to indicate that females constitute 45% of the total number, and expressed appreciation for the active participation of parents, teachers and students in the process.

Accordingly, the examination witnessed appreciable self-confidence on the part of students.

Among students, Tedros Habtetsion, Senae Adem, Siham Jemal and Seid Jabir said that they made ample preparations on individual and group basis for the examination, and voiced confidence that they would achieve remarkable results.
