Extensive popular undertaking being conducted in Segeneiti sub-zone

Reports indicated that extensive popular undertakings are being conducted focusing on soil and water conservation in Segeneiti sub-zone in collaboration with EDF members.

Segeneiti, 7 June 2013 – Reports indicated that extensive popular undertakings are being conducted focusing on soil and water conservation in Segeneiti sub-zone in collaboration with EDF members.

The participants pointed out that the community-led venture involves the construction of terraces, preparation of farmland and renovation of dirt roads.

Among the participants, Mr. Habtemariam Michael and Ms. Yordanos Berhane said that active popular participation is being witnessed in the undertaking.

Mr. Eyasu Abraha, Administrator of Adeb’ur village, and Mr. Tesfamichael Abraha, from the Administration of Maereba area, said that the community members have accomplished various tasks of this type, and expressed appreciation for the consistency of the initiative.
