The Ministry of Tourism’s branch in Anseba region said that stepped-up endeavors are being exerted towards upgrading the standard of service businesses in Keren city.
Keren, 8 June 2013 – The Ministry of Tourism’s branch in Anseba region said that stepped-up endeavors are being exerted towards upgrading the standard of service businesses in Keren city.
Mr. Dawit Kibreab, head of the branch office, pointed out that service businesses established over the past 22 years have made remarkable impact in the development of the city and fostering tourism in the area, and that the office is committed to standardization of tourism-related services. He further indicated that the city draws the attention of numerous tourists for its favorable climate, distinguished topography and the art deco it encompasses.
Among local customers, Mr. Abdelwahab Idris Ali, Mr. Habtom Mebrahtu and Mr. Amanuel Zerai expressed satisfaction with the services being rendered by such firms vis-à-vis the job opportunities they created, and asserted that service standardization is a major prerequisite as regards substantiating tourist attraction factors.
One the hotel owners in the city, Mr. Simon Araya explained that the quality of a tourism-bound business should be gauged altogether by the service it renders and its number of customers.
Moreover, he disclosed that he is doing his level best to attain higher achievement in his business venture.
There exist more than 200 service businesses in this regard, according to reports.
