Stepped-up endeavors being exerted towards attaining further social service outreach in Gelalo sub-zone

The Administration of Gelalo sub-zone indicated that it is exerting stepped-up endeavors with a view to attaining further social service outreach.

Gelalo, 10 June 2013 – The Administration of Gelalo sub-zone indicated that it is exerting stepped-up endeavors with a view to attaining further social service outreach.

Mr. Hamd Mohammed-Ali, Administrator of the sub-zone, pointed out that gratifying accomplishment has been registered as regards putting in place basic social service facilities and promoting community-based style of living, thus giving rise to improvement of the inhabitants’ livelihood.

Accordingly, various potable water supply facilities have been put in place, while water reservoirs are being built in a number of areas. Moreover, commendable health and educational services are being rendered as a result of increased efforts towards enhancing female participation in education.

Among the inhabitants, Mr. Hamedu Muemn and Mr. Saleh Roblie said that they used to lead nomadic pattern of living but presently they are in a position to become beneficiaries of social service facilities following the initiative they took to resort to community-based living style.
