The Administration of the Elementary School in Mariet Administrative area, Nacfa sub-zone, indicated that it is playing vital role in raising community awareness regarding education, thus witnessing growing trend of student admission.

Nacfa, 13 June 2013 – The Administration of the Elementary School in Mariet Administrative area, Nacfa sub-zone, indicated that it is playing vital role in raising community awareness regarding education, thus witnessing growing trend of student admission.

Mr. Hamd Mahmoud, director of the school, explained that the inhabitants’ nomadic mode of living has been the major challenge in the process of promoting educational outreach in the area, and that remarkable accomplishment has been registered to this end. Accordingly, the number of student registration has been showing 15% increase annually, and the school has attained an even proportion of male and female students.

Mr. Ali Abdalla, Administrator of Mariet area, said that effective community sensitization activities were conducted in this regard.

Among the inhabitants, Mr. Omar Humed, Mr. Jahirai Omar and Mr. Ibrahim Osman lauded the government’s commitment as regards bridging the development gap between urban and rural areas.
