Cart owners in Mendefera city have begun to work as an Association in collaboration with the sub-zonal Administration.

Mendefera, 17 June 2013 – Cart owners in Mendefera city have begun to work as an Association in collaboration with the sub-zonal Administration.

Speaking at the ceremony in connection with the launching of the Association, Dr. Ogbazgi Kifle from the Agriculture Ministry’s branch in the Southern region called on the members to strive to enhance organizational capacity.

Among the Association members, Mr. Teame Gebrehiwet and Ms. Abrehet Kifle expressed satisfaction with working through synergy.

Mr. Fisehaye Tekle, chairman of the Association, lauded the Agriculture Ministry’s branch in the sub-zone for ensuring feed supply, and said that they would step up efforts towards further service.

Mr. Maekele Tesfamichael, head of economic development in the sub-zone, indicated that working on such basis is groundwork for higher accomplishment, and called on the members to extend a helping hand towards promoting safe ride.

Mr. Eyasu Asefaw, head of the sub-zonal branch of the Ministry of Agriculture, pointed out that various farmers are already working on the basis of Associations according to their domains, giving rise to improved output. He further wished the members of the Association good luck.
