Family in Massawa extends 120,000 Nakfa for 10 families of fallen heroes

A family residing in the port city of Massawa has extended a total of 120,000 Nakfa for 10 families of martyrs.

Massawa, 22 June 2013 – A family residing in the port city of Massawa has extended a total of 120,000 Nakfa for 10 families of martyrs.

Mr. Hassan Salim, the father, and his daughter Mrs. Halima Hassan as well as her husband Mr. Mohammed Ali Mahmoud expressed moral satisfaction with the initiative they took, and called on fellow citizens to emulate such gesture.

Among the beneficiaries, Ms. Mitslal Gebreyesus, Mr. Mohammed Ali Idirs and Ms. Abeba Woldemariam expressed satisfaction with the support, and voiced pride for the martyrdom of their family members.

Mr. Kidane Yohanes, head of the Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare’s branch in the Northern Red Sea region, commended the initiatives being taken by various nationals as regards supporting families of martyrs, and called on social institutions to extend a helping hand towards fostering an initiative of this type.
