Eritrean community members in UK, Holland and Israel reiterate readiness to honor the trust of fallen heroes

Eritrean community members in London, Leeds, Manchester, UK, Rotterdam, Amsterdam and Leiden, Holland, as well as Israel marked June 20, Martyrs’ Day with candle lit parade.

Asmara, 23 June 2013- Eritrean community members in London, Leeds, Manchester, UK, Rotterdam, Amsterdam and Leiden, Holland, as well as Israel marked June 20, Martyrs’ Day with candle lit parade.

The Eritrean community members in Israel reiterated readiness to honor the trust of fallen heroes during the event that witnessed candlelight parade.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Tesfamariam Tekeste, Eritrean Ambassador in Israel, pointed out that the event is an occasion during which nationals should reiterate their readiness to care for the families of martyrs, and that participants extended 4, 400 Shekel and 200 Dollars towards martyrs’ trust

In a ceremony conducted in Landon during which around 3 thousand Eritreans took part, Mr. Tesfamichael Gerahtu, Eritrean Ambassador in the UK, indicated that the event is an occasion during which nationals should reiterate their commitment to the nation-building process, and called on the community members to mount staunch resistance against anti-Eritrea agendas.

Likewise, the Eritrean community members in Manchester and Leeds expressed that June 20, Martyrs’ Day is an occasion during which they renew their pledge to honor the trust of the fallen heroes and extended a total of 1,200 Pounds honoring the trust of martyrs, besides the regular care they have been taking for families of fallen heroes.

Similarly, the Eritrean community members in Rotterdam, Amsterdam and Leiden, Holland, during the event that witnessed candlelight parade reiterated readiness to honor the trust of fallen heroes.

Speaking during the occasion Mr. Slomon Mehari, Head of Eritrean Consular Affairs in Holland, called on the nationals residing in the country to step up participation in national development programs.

During the event, the Eritrean community members from the three cities donated more than 16 thousand Euros honoring the trust of martyrs.
