Owners of service businesses in Tesenei extend 100,000 Nakfa honoring the trust of martyrs

Owners of service businesses in Tesenei city have extended a total of 100,000 Nakfa honoring the trust of martyrs in connection of June 20, Martyrs Day Mr. Teklebrhan Gebrewold, Administrator of the sub-zone, indicated.

Tesenei, 23 June 2013 – Owners of service businesses in Tesenei city have extended a total of 100,000 Nakfa honoring the trust of martyrs in connection of June 20, Martyrs Day Mr. Teklebrhan Gebrewold, Administrator of the sub-zone, indicated.

He further explained that the objective of the contribution which is conducted for the 4th time is to improve the livelihood of Martyrs’ families and that the money was distributed to 20 martyrs’ families each receiving 5 thousand Nakfa.

Mr. Saleh Osman, Head of Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare branch in the sub-zone, on his part called on others to follow the noble example in assisting martyrs’ families and that the contribution is significantly contributing in improving the livelihood of martyrs’ families.

Likewise Mr. Michael Tekle, chairman of the Martyrs’ Families Rehabilitation Association, expressed that the contribution of the owners of service businesses attest to the respect and honor they have towards martyrs and martyrs’ families.

Among the beneficiaries, Ms. Rikia Mohammed-Nur, Ms. Abadit Gebremeskel, Ms. Abet Abubeker and Ms. Meaza Berhane pointed out that besides the support they receive from the Government the assistance being provided to them by owners of service businesses has significant contribution in improving their livelihood.

According to the report from the area, Mr. Dawit Woldeselasie donated residential house worth of 150 thousand Nakfa to one martyr’s family. It is to be recalled that Mr. Dawit previously donated to 20 martyrs’ families in Tesenei 50 thousand Nakfa each.
