The regional Administrator of Anseba region, Mr. Gergis Girmai, said that research and organization constitute a remarkable prerequisites for successful implementation of agricultural projects, thus giving rise to increased output.
Keren, 26 June 2013 – The regional Administrator of Anseba region, Mr. Gergis Girmai, said that research and organization constitute a remarkable prerequisites for successful implementation of agricultural projects, thus giving rise to increased output. He made the remark during a tour he made in Habero and Hamelmalo sub-zones , including visit to various sites of irrigation farming potentials and others.
The regional Administrator pointed out that agricultural projects implemented in the region have witnessed positive outcome thanks to the active participation of the inhabitants, and noted the need of adhering to effective harnessing of the available resource to this end.
Mr. Al-Amin Tahir, head of the Agriculture Ministry’s branch in the region, disclosed that stepped-up endeavors are being exerted towards ensuring widespread introduction of irrigation farming, and that mango and banana seedlings planted in Habero sub-zone have flourished well.
Mr. Gergis called for enhanced follow-up of pertinent bodies as regards projects in the course of implementation.
