Integrated efforts to be exerted as regards furthering equitability of educational services in Anseba region
The Education Ministry’s branch in Anseba region said that integrated efforts would continue to be exerted as regards furthering equitability of educational services with a view to registering still more gratifying outcome.
Keren, 28 June 2013 – The Education Ministry’s branch in Anseba region said that integrated efforts would continue to be exerted as regards furthering equitability of educational services with a view to registering still more gratifying outcome.
Mr. Hagos Adhana from the branch office indicated that the number of schools in the region has grown from 34 to 300 over the past 22 years with a major distribution in remote areas giving rise to almost 8-fold growth in the number of students. He further called on the inhabitants to enhance participation in such government venture.
Mr. Abdulri’uf Asenai, resident of Keren city, expressed appreciation for the government’s commitment to promote rural development, especially the accomplishment made in the domain of education.
Reports indicate that there exist 85 kindergartens, 143 Elementary schools, 63 Junior schools and 17 High schools in the region.
