A total of 440 students graduate with Certificate from Technical Schools in Asmara and Mai-Habar

A total of 239 students who have been attending 2-year Certificate courses in Auto Mechanics, Construction, Drafting, Surveying, Electronics, Electricity, Metalwork and Woodwork in Asmara Technical School graduated today.

Asmara, 29 June 2013 – A total of 239 students who have been attending 2-year Certificate courses in Auto Mechanics, Construction, Drafting, Surveying, Electronics, Electricity, Metalwork and Woodwork in Asmara Technical School graduated today.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Halefom Araya, director of the school, congratulated the graduating batch, and pointed out that the nurturing of such skills is vital in the nation-building process. He further called on them to serve the people with dedication. Moreover, a representative of the batch expressed his colleagues’ readiness of backing national development programs.

Indicating that the school has been nurturing such skills over more than half a century, Mr. Tesfai Sium from the Education Ministry’s head office lauded its endeavors of incorporating theoretical and practical knowhow in the teaching-learning process.

Meanwhile, Mai-Habar Technical School graduated 201 students with certificate in similar fields of study.

In remarks he made during the graduation ceremony, Mr. Wehab Mohammed, director of the school, called on the graduates to demonstrate major participation in the national development drive.

Moreover, Mr. Tesfai Sium stated that the government has been enhancing endeavors as regards human resource development, while a representative of the graduates expressed the readiness of members of the graduating batch to back national development endeavors.
