Independence week expressed significantly contributed in transferring cultural values among students

In an assessment meeting conducted in the Municipality Hall here in Asmara it was expressed that the Independence Week conducted in all schools in the Central region from 7 to 19 May had significant contribution in transferring cultural values among students. 

Asmara, 30 June 2023- In an assessment meeting conducted in the Municipality Hall here in Asmara it was expressed that the Independence Week conducted in all schools in the Central region from 7 to 19 May had significant contribution in transferring cultural values among students.

Ms. Halima Mohammed, head Education Ministry branch office in the region, indicated that the Independence Week conducted in 290 schools in the region from kindergartens to high school level was very successful and it had significant contribution in nurturing unity, harmony and sense of nationalism among students.

Mr. Zerit Tewoldebrhan, work manager in the region, on his part pointed out that schools are the foundation for all rounded development of students and that the Schools Independence Week has been an occasion in which students shared their experiences among each other and learned a lot about their culture and history.

The participants called for more participation of parents, costumes to reflect culture of the society and exhibitions to replicate the Independence Day.

In a speech he conducted on the occasion, Mr. Kahsai Gebrehiwot, Administrator of the Central region, pointed out that the Independence Day Week has been an occasion in which positive completions was observed among schools as well as in identified their capacity and inventiveness.
